April 2013, 6 artists took Jan's on camera performance workshop, "Once More With Feeling". They were all nervous when they came in but felt so relaxed by the time each one got up to perform. Telling the story requires the performer to connect and ignite his/her inside feelings. At the same time the outside or the physical part of the performer must also connect to the track. When a performer is grooving with the track we as the audience can feel it. When we are performing or "pretending" for those few moments with our song we come alive.

Making a song sizzle is an intricate balance of the sound of your voice, your connection with the emotions of the lyrics and the physical movements you do when you feel that track.

Becoming the storyteller and the actual telling of the story involves the "Who, What, Where, and When". Taking these elements into consideration makes the story pop and the song rich in details.
